As with other gourd patches, the Mid-MO Gourd patch meets to encourage individuals to learn about gourd art. The meetings are held three to four times a year. Individuals with no knowledge or those with advanced, years of knowledge are invited to join our meetings. The meetings are held at various members houses or communities. This allows for us to see how others have their studio or work areas set up in addition to learning about gourd art techniques.
If you haven't already joined it, the patch does have a Facebook page - just search Facebook for Mid-MO Gourd Patch. Our meeting dates are listed on the Facebook page with information on how to get further details.
Upcoming events are on June 2, August 21, September 29, 2021 and January 22, 2022.
If you are interested in joining or have any questions contact Nancy Amburgey (namburgey4@gmail.com) for further information.
Originally the patch was the East Central Gourd Patch coordinated by Mary Sue and Jerry Pensel with the first official meeting on January 11, 2014. Later the name was changed to Mid-MO Patch and was led a number of years by Theresa Tyler.
